DOC Fights Solvay Challenge To Italian Resin Duties

Law360, New York (December 7, 2009, 5:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has asked the U.S. Court of International Trade to deny judgment on the administrative record to Solvay Solexis Inc., which is challenging an anti-dumping duty order on certain resins from Italy.

On Friday, the government asked CIT Judge Donald Pogue to turn down the request by European chemical company Solvay, which objects to the inclusion with the company's general expenses of an accrual expense related to an antitrust fine.
