KPMG, Others Accused Of $50M Medicare Fraud

Law360, New York (December 10, 2009, 6:10 PM EST) -- A group of whistleblowers has filed suit against accounting firm KPMG, Empire Healthchoice Assurance Inc. and several consulting companies that worked to turn around beleaguered Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center, claiming they helped the hospital group overbill Medicare and Medicaid by $50 million.
