U.S. Trust Deal Brokered By Wachtell, Howard Rice

Law360 (November 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bank of America’s $3.3 billion acquisition of U.S. Trust, the private-banking arm of discount broker Charles Schwab, was shepherded by lawyers with long-term relationships with the two financial institutions.

Schwab’s outside counsel Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin of San Francisco represented the company in the transaction, the firm said. Wachtell Lipton acted for Bank of America in the deal.
