Parish Investors Win Class Cert. In Suit Against Schwab

Law360, New York (December 10, 2009, 3:07 PM EST) -- A federal judge has granted class certification to a group of investors who are accusing Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. of enabling Ponzi schemer Albert Parish to obtain money from their retirement accounts through his investment vehicle Battery Wealth Management Inc.

Judge David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District Of South Carolina granted the plaintiffs' motion on Wednesday.
