The Latest Proposals For Securitization Reform

Law360, New York (December 11, 2009, 5:55 PM EST) -- On Dec. 2, 2009, the House Financial Services Committee released the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act 0f 2009 (the “House Proposal”).[1] Title I of the House Proposal contains a revised version of the Financial Stability and Improvement Act of 2009 that was originally released on Oct. 27, 2009.[2]

On Nov. 10, Senator Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., released a discussion draft of the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2009 (the “Senate Proposal”).[3]
