Fee Requests Top $25M In Calpine's Ch. 11

Law360, New York (November 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Financial and legal advisors in the Chapter 11 proceedings of Calpine Corp. have requested over $25 million in fees and expenses for the latest three-month period, and that’s not counting Calpine’s lead law firm, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, which has yet to file its own request for payment.

According to court documents filed Monday, a large portion of the payments will go to KPMG LLP, which is acting as Calpine’s tax and risk advisory consultant. KPMG has said that for the period between July 1 and...
