House Passes Dems' $715B Highway, Water Funding Bill
Law360 (July 1, 2021, 5:51 PM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed a $715 billion funding package for roads, bridges, transit, rail and water infrastructure, in a partisan vote that has left Republicans embittered and Democrats emboldened to advance key elements of President Joe Biden's sweeping infrastructure plan.
The House voted 221-201 to pass the Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation in America Act, a five-year surface transportation funding bill for roads, bridges, transit and rail, as well as clean water and drinking water-related authorization measures.
