Energy Cos. Move To Toss State Antitrust Claims

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 2:22 PM EST) -- A pair of energy companies involved in the multidistrict price-fixing litigation over wholesale natural gas are trying to dismiss Sinclair Oil Corp.'s claims that they violated state antitrust and consumer protection laws.

Xcel Energy Inc. and e prime inc. on Wednesday filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada for partial summary judgment based on federal preemption.
