Sex Bias Plaintiffs Seek Sanctions Against Novartis

Law360, New York (December 22, 2009, 3:58 PM EST) -- Counsel for the plaintiffs in a wide-ranging sex bias suit against Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. are seeking sanctions against Novartis for allegedly contacting four class members improperly without notifying class counsel.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs filed their motion, which also seeks to strike the four women's testimony, on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging Novartis and its attorneys violated New York state's “no contact” rule.
