Chubb Faces Suit Involving 'Dr. Phil' Supplement

Law360, New York (January 4, 2010, 6:31 PM EST) -- A nutritional supplement manufacturer associated with TV psychologist “Dr. Phil” McGraw has sued a subsidiary of the Chubb Corp., saying the insurance company breached a contract by failing to cover it in a product liability action.

In a complaint lodged Dec. 29 with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, CSA Nutraceuticals LLC claimed that Chubb Custom Insurance Co. owed it about $10 million in litigation costs and another $10 million for a settlement.
