Class Cert. Stands In DuPont Tainted Water Action

Law360, New York (January 5, 2010, 4:33 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has rejected DuPont Co.'s bid for permission to appeal a district court's decision to grant class certification to plaintiffs accusing the company of contaminating public and private water sources with the chemical perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on Dec. 30 denied DuPont's motion for permission to appeal the class certification ruling.
