NuvaRing Meets Iqbal

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 4:38 PM EST) -- Recent litigation and judicial decisions in the NuvaRing multidistrict litigation are at the intersection of the use of master complaints and the developing law in the Iqbal/Twombly line of cases.

The NuvaRing litigation, MDL 1964, being managed by Judge Rodney W. Sippel in the Eastern District of Missouri, involves several hundred women who used this vaginal contraceptive with claims of clotting injuries, primarily pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thromboses.
