Rivals Put Kibosh On GPS Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 5:15 PM EST) -- LunarEye Inc. and WebTech Wireless Inc. have called a halt to their patent dispute over GPS technology, officially closing the book on the three-year-long litigation.

Judge Ron Clark in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday dismissed all claims and counterclaims in the suit, at the parties' joint request.

The companies reached a confidential settlement, LunarEye attorney E. Armistead Easterby said Thursday. He declined to offer any further details.
