High Court Denies TRW Workers' ERISA Appeal

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 7:16 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to take up an appeal from retirees accusing TRW Automotive US LLC of interfering to prevent workers from accruing greater medical benefits when shuttering an auto parts plant in 2007.

On Monday, the nation’s high court dashed the unionized workers’ hopes of receiving retirement benefits for years of service to TRW, denying a petition for a writ of certiorari that urged the high court to clarify the scope of Section 510 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act....
