Class Lawyers Seek Quarter Of $40M Deal In Jeld-Wen Suit

By Christopher Cole (October 19, 2021, 5:00 PM EDT) -- Lawyers who took door maker Jeld-Wen Inc. to court for allegedly hiding the risk of antitrust litigation to its bottom line are asking a Virginia federal judge for a quarter cut of a $40 million settlement as their fees.

The team of attorneys from Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP and Labaton Sucharow LLP representing stockholders in the suit also sought expenses of roughly $1.2 million, along with interest on their fees and expenses, according to court papers filed Monday.
