Ex-Cravath Atty Guilty Of Rape Has Appeal Denied

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 1:03 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a trial judge's decision to throw out a breach of contract and Employee Retirement Income Security Act suit that disbarred tax attorney James Colliton filed against former employer Cravath Swain & Moore LLP less than three months after pleading guilty to statutory rape in 2007.

In a summary order issued in December and filed in district court on Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit denied the ex-lawyer's challenge to a September 2008 decision dismissing his suit....
