High Court Denies States' Injunction Bid In Carp Spat

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 4:59 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to issue a preliminary injunction that would have closed waterway locks in Illinois rivers and canals, delivering an early blow to several states seeking to further restrict the migration of a particularly prosperous and invasive species of carp into the Great Lakes.
