NBA Players Union Sues Over New Synthetic Ball

Law360, New York (December 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The NBA Players’ Association has reportedly filed a pair of unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board, accusing the league of violating its rights with respect to a new ball and its crackdown on player complaints.

In the filings, the basketball players union said it should have been consulted before the changes were implemented, the Associated Press reported.
