Claiborne Can't Dodge $20M Suit Over Perfume Deal

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 7:03 PM EST) -- A federal court has shot down Liz Claiborne Inc.’s bid to dismiss a $20.2 million lawsuit brought by a perfume distributor that claimed the fashion company suddenly backed out of a lucrative European distribution deal and assigned the licenses for the fragrances to a competitor, saying the motion was not filed in accordance with court procedure.
