DOJ Shuts Down Auto Filter Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 3:28 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has closed its investigation into possible collusion in the replacement auto filters industry, vehicle replacement part maker United Components Inc. announced Friday.

The Indiana-based company said that it had been notified that that the DOJ had ended its probe into possible collusion in the industry.

A representative of the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday. The DOJ declined comment.
