Home Depot National Origin Bias Action Tossed

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 6:56 PM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed a putative class action brought by laborers who claimed The Home Depot USA Inc. gave them short shrift on training, pay and promotions because they were born outside the U.S., rejecting the assertion that the Civil Rights Act of 1991 broadened another law to cover claims based on place of birth.
