Deals Near In Case Against Ex-Collins & Aikman Execs

Law360, New York (January 28, 2010, 7:22 PM EST) -- A federal judge has granted a stay in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's civil fraud case against former White House Budget Director David Stockman and seven other former executives of Collins & Aikman Corp., citing “preliminary settlements” the commission has reached with the eight defendants.

According to the order, signed Wednesday by Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the case against a ninth former executive at the bankrupt auto parts maker, David Cosgrove, will continue...
