Purchasers Seek Sanctions In Intel Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 5:53 PM EST) -- Indirect purchaser plaintiffs in the multidistrict antitrust litigation against Intel Corp. are seeking sanctions against the technology giant for allegedly failing to preserve evidence, echoing claims levied by Advanced Micro Devices Inc. in the case prior to the rivals' settlement.

The indirect purchasers filed the motion for sanctions Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The memorandum explaining the grounds for the motion was filed under seal, and an attorney for the plaintiffs declined to comment further.
