Comcast CEO Defends NBC Merger To Skeptical Sens.

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 7:09 PM EST) -- Comcast Corp. CEO Brian Roberts told skeptical U.S. senators on Thursday that the cable and Internet giant will agree to be bound by federal rules governing program access as it seeks a controversial merger with content provider NBC Universal Inc.

Roberts said in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee's antitrust panel that Comcast would adhere to the Federal Communications Commission's program access rules even if they're thrown out by a judge in Comcast's litigation with the FCC.
