J2 Resolves Internet Fax Patent Suit Against Comodo

Law360 (February 2, 2010, 1:16 PM EST) -- J2 Global Communications Inc. has struck a deal with Comodo Communications Inc. in a suit alleging that Comodo’s Internet fax service infringed three patents covering online message transmission technology.

Judge Dean D. Pregerson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Friday dismissed the parties’ claims against each other with prejudice after j2 and Comodo reached an agreement.

The parties will cover their own attorneys’ fees and costs, according to the order. Attorneys representing j2 and Comodo did not respond to requests seeking comment.
