Bimbo Bakeries, Drivers Reach $3.8M Deal In OT Suit

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 12:26 PM EST) -- Current and former drivers alleging that Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. violated California’s meal and rest break laws have asked for preliminary approval of a $3.75 million settlement with the bakery giant.

Under the settlement, only drivers who were on Bimbo Bakeries' payroll during the proposed class period, beginning Feb. 25, 2001 and extending until preliminary approval of the settlement is granted, would be eligible to collect on the settlement, according to the preliminary approval motion filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District...
