AK Steel Appeals Injunction Freezing Benefit Cuts

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 1:57 PM EST) -- AK Steel Corp. is appealing a preliminary injunction that prohibits the company from making any further retiree health benefit reductions until a putative class action brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act has been resolved.

On Monday, AK Steel filed a notice of appeal with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, saying it was challenging the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
