Foxwoods Pact Couldn't Happen Under EFCA: Atty

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 7:01 PM EST) -- The recent, first-of-its-kind labor agreement between table dealers at Foxwoods Resort Casino and the American Indian tribe that operates it could shine a light on potential shortcomings in the proposed Employee Free Choice Act, according to attorneys who worked on the agreement.

The contract, which was reached Jan. 27 and ratified by members of the United Auto Workers union on Friday, was hashed out only after arduous negotiations.
