Pizza Hut Drivers Sue Franchisees For More Dough

Law360, New York (February 3, 2010, 4:24 PM EST) -- Two companies that run Pizza Hut franchises have been hit with a nationwide putative class action accusing them of improperly requiring delivery drivers to pay their own travel expenses, paying drivers less than the minimum wage and depriving them of delivery charges.

Drivers Bryan Barth, Miles Warren and Kai Steenhoek filed a lawsuit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, claiming Golden Valley, Minn.-based Border Foods Inc. and Sky Ventures LLC violated federal and Minnesota labor laws through their policy that drivers...
