US, Tire Cos. Defend Duties On Chinese Exporter

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 1:22 PM EST) -- Bridgestone Americas Inc., Titan Tire Corp. and the U.S. government are urging the U.S. Court of International Trade to uphold a 10 percent anti-dumping rate on off-road tires sold by China-based Xuzhou Xugong Tyres Co. Ltd.

In briefs filed Wednesday, the federal government and the U.S. tire companies argue that the court should overrule an objection filed by Xugong on Jan. 19 challenging the Department of Commerce's anti-dumping duty calculation.

The briefs are the latest development in a lawsuit Bridgestone and Titan filed against the government...
