US Takes Aim At Suit Over Chinese Furniture Duties

Law360, New York (February 8, 2010, 1:35 PM EST) -- A U.S. furniture manufacturers group that wants the U.S. Court of International Trade to weigh in on anti-dumping duties against Chinese manufacturers is trying to litigate a hypothetical dispute, the U.S. government has said in a motion to dismiss.

Facing a suit from the American Furniture Manufacturers Committee for Legal Trade over the timing of a liquidation order, the government asked the court on Sunday to deny the group's request for a preliminary injunction and dismiss the suit.
