Store Managers Seek Class In Musicland Dispute

Law360 (December 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Store managers have asked a federal court to certify a class action against bankrupt retailer Musicland Holding Corp. over millions of dollars in violations of California overtime laws.

The plaintiffs asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday to approve their class status in an action alleging that Musicland’s store managers are wrongfully exempt from California overtime laws and that the retailer owes them nearly $15 million in overtime pay.
