OFT Gives OK To Ambassador-Live Nation Theater Deal

Law360, New York (February 10, 2010, 6:34 PM EST) -- The U.K.'s competition regulator has signed off on a deal in which The Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd. agreed to pay £90 million ($140 million) to acquire 22 theater venues in the U.K. formerly owned by Live Nation Worldwide Inc.

The Office of Fair Trading announced Wednesday that it had completed a review of the deal and concluded that there is no realistic chance that it would result in higher ticket prices or reduce choice in the British theater industry.
