Comair Pilots OK Strike If Court Rejects Contract

Law360, New York (December 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Comair Inc. pilots have voted overwhelmingly in favor of authorizing their union leaders to call a strike if the bankruptcy court rejects their contract.

The Air Line Pilots Association said that more than 93% of the responding pilots voted in support of authorizing a strike. The union, which represents more than 1,500 pilots, did not say how many pilots voted.

“We continue to negotiate with Comair management in an effort to reach a consensual agreement," said chairman of the Comair chapter of ALPA, Capt. J.C. Lawson....
