VW Recalls 200K Brazilian Cars Over Wheel Issue

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 6:12 PM EST) -- The Brazilian unit of Volkswagen AG said Thursday it was recalling more than 190,000 of its Novo Gol and Novo Voyage cars because of lubrication problems in some wheel bearings, reportedly warning that the recall could spread to other Latin American countries.

The recall comes weeks after Toyota Motor Corp. said it would recall millions of vehicles due to accelerator problems, and after American Honda Motor Co. Inc. followed suit this month with a smaller recall of its own for airbag issues.
