AT&T, Insurer Battle Over $427M Fraud Deal Coverage

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 4:47 PM EST) -- AT&T Corp. has fired back at U.S. Specialty Insurance Co. in a coverage dispute stemming from the telecommunications company's 2005 settlement for $400 million plus $27 million in fees of a lawsuit brought by the trustee of defunct Internet service provider At Home Corp.

In counterclaims filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, AT&T claimed that USIC is violating an insurance policy that provides $10 million in coverage in excess of $50 million by refusing to help cover the costs...
