Ex-Goldman Programmer Indicted For Stealing Software

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 4:15 PM EST) -- Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. computer programmer Sergey Aleynikov has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly stealing Goldman computer code related to a high-frequency trading platform.

Aleynikov, who was arrested last summer, will be arraigned in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara of the Southern District of New York announced Thursday.

According to the indictment, issued Thursday, Aleynikov worked for Goldman from May 2007 to June 2009, working on the high-frequency trading platform software. In...
