Restaurant 'Red Book' Sparks IP Battle

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 3:34 PM EST) -- Business services company Dataworks LLC has sued rival Commlog LLC for copyright and trademark infringement concerning the company's “Red Book” products, a set of organizational tools used in many restaurants.

Dataworks filed an amended complaint against Commlog on Friday in U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, accusing the company of selling Red Book knockoffs to such restaurants as TGIFridays, Ruby Tuesday and Taco Cabana.
