Ex-Goldman Employee Fights Trade Secrets Charges

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 6:37 PM EST) -- Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. computer programmer Sergey Aleynikov pled not guilty Wednesday in a criminal trade secrets case alleging he stole computer code related to the company's high-frequency trading platform.

Aleynikov, who was arrested last summer, entered the plea during an arraignment Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney's office confirmed.
