Nevada Judge Invalidates Harrah's Casino Patents

Law360 (May 24, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. District Court Judge in Nevada has invalidated two of casino operator Harrah’s patents in its three-year-old patent lawsuit against rival Station Casinos.

The judge ruled two of Harrah's patents invalid "due to indefiniteness and lack of enabling disclosure of the claimed subject matter," Station said.

The judge also ruled that the grounds on which Station seeks to invalidate the two patents, as well as a third named in Harrah's suit, involve issues of fact that Station could pursue at trial.
