Microsoft-Yahoo Deal Cleared By US, EU Officials

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 4:20 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. and Yahoo Inc. have received the green light from U.S. and European antitrust officials to move forward with their search advertisement partnership, which is intended to take on search engine ad leader Google Inc.

The U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission on Thursday gave their blessing to the Microsoft-Yahoo deal without imposing any restrictions.
