Broadcaster Regent Seeks Speedy Trip Through Ch. 11

Law360, New York (March 1, 2010, 1:39 PM EST) -- Radio broadcaster Regent Communications Inc. sought bankruptcy protection Monday, asking the court to schedule an April 8 confirmation hearing on a prenegotiated reorganization plan under which affiliates of Oaktree Capital Management LP would get most of the company's new equity and about $87 million in debt would be eliminated.

Regent Communications and a slew of affiliates filed Chapter 11 petitions in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Regent listed assets of $166.5 million and a little more than $211 million in debt....
