Ex-O'Melveny Partner Nominated To DOC Post

Law360, New York (March 2, 2010, 5:11 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has chosen White House special counsel and former O'Melveny & Myers LLP partner Michael C. Camunez to head the U.S. Department of Commerce's Office on Market Access and Compliance.

Obama said Monday he planned to nominate Camunez to the position of assistant secretary for market access and compliance, one of four assistant secretary positions in the International Trade Administration.

Camunez is special counsel to the president in the Office of White House Counsel and has advised Obama on senior appointments in the cabinet...
