Netflix, Warner Bros. Face Suit Over Distribution Deal

Law360, New York (March 4, 2010, 7:11 PM EST) -- Netflix Inc. subscribers have fired off a proposed class action alleging the video-by-mail rental company and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. entered into a deal that restricts when subscribers can rent new movie releases offered by Warner in violation of antitrust law.

Brandon Bruno filed the suit Thursday on behalf of a proposed class of Netflix subscribers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claiming that while subscribers are still paying the same fees to Netflix, the value of their subscription benefits...
