Dell CFO Steps Down Amid Probe

Law360, New York (December 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Chief Financial Officer of computer maker Dell Inc. will step down in February, capping off a year filled with class action lawsuits, delayed financial statements, and government investigations.

James Schneider will leave his post at the end of the fiscal year, and will be replaced by Donald Carty, the former CEO of AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines.

After leaving Dell, Schneider will become the executive chairman of Texas-based bank holding company Frontier Bancshares.
