USTR Mulls Action Over China's Internet Policies

Law360, New York (March 9, 2010, 6:27 PM EST) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk is reportedly considering filing an appeal of China's Internet censorship policies with the World Trade Organization.

Kirk, speaking at the National Press Club on Tuesday, said his office was in talks with Internet providers including Google Inc. that have been affected by the censorship practices in order to determine whether the policies are compliant with WTO rules, Reuters reported.
