US Airways To Push On With Hostile Delta Bid

Law360, New York (December 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- US Airways plans to push on with its $8.4 billion hostile bid for bankrupt rival Delta Air Lines, dismissing antitrust concerns as unfounded and scoffing at Delta’s projection that it will be worth as much as $12 billion when it emerges from bankruptcy.

“We think their valuation is way out of whack,” US Airways Chief Executive Doug Parker said Thursday during a conference call with analysts and reporters.
