Drivers' FLSA Claims Against Pizza Hut Tossed

Law360, New York (March 15, 2010, 12:51 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed all claims in a proposed class action that accuses Pizza Hut Inc. of failing to reimburse its delivery drivers for automobile costs, uniform purchases and other job-related expenses in violation of federal and state labor laws.

Judge Christine M. Arguello of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado said in an order Thursday that a former Pizza Hut employee's allegations against the company failed to meet pleading standards. The judge gave him three weeks to file a new complaint....
