Acacia, On Command Settle Patent Suit Over On-Demand Technology

Law360, New York (June 7, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Acacia Technologies has settled its patent lawsuit against On Command Corp. over a technology for transmitting on-demand programming to hotel rooms and other venues.

As part of the settlement, Acacia and On Command have entered into a license agreement for Acacia’s Digital Media Transmission, the companies said.

The license resolves a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Acacia against On Command and its related companies, and counterclaims filed by On Command against Acacia, which were pending in the District Court for the Central District of California....
