NY Senate Mulls Bill To Ban BPA In Child Products

Law360, New York (March 23, 2010, 4:27 PM EDT) -- The New York State Senate is considering a new bill to ban the sale of child care products, toys, and food and beverage containers that contain the plastic additive bisphenol A, which has been linked to health risks, about three months after rejecting a similar bill from the State Assembly.

S7123, known as the Bisphenol A-Free Children and Babies Act, was read to the full Senate on Monday and then sent back to the Environmental Conservation Committee with amendments.
